ALL the time, since I began writing about them in SPIN around 1988. I always had to be the one "in trouble," and "bad" but never them. They were protected AIDS Saints. My best friend Rob did one segment on a show he produced at ABC, about Peter Duesberg, and these forces got his show canceled. (I have reason to believe.) He went into a severe depression, and wound up victim of psychiatric ignorance, which eventually killed him. There are so many stories—it's like GDR, like Anna Funder's "Stasiland." Never thought I'd live to see the truth come out about these people.
