I like most of the things Corbett puts up. But I take a strong disagreement with his views and conclusions about the JFK "secret societies speech." I listened to the entire JFK speech long ago, and even reviewed it again to refresh my memory.
It comes down to this. The News media today is more powerful than the compass or gunpowder (as JFK quotes Sir Francis Bacon). The media as a whole MUST be responsible and use good judgement, which they obviously do not. This is a far more serious problem than most of us realize. The media panders to the basest of human emotional reactions. Over the years this has only become worse. We are constantly being emotionally manipulated by vile programming designed to inflame passions and reactions.
Jerry Springer just passed away. I have to say I was never really a fan of his shows, but a lot of people were. This might have been just entertainment to a lot of people, but most of them tune in what they think is "news" for the same reason. We know that lies and twisted implications of news stories sell, and are being used to basically destroy our civilization. This is a big part of the "Monolithic Conspiracy" JFK warned us about.
